Civic Debate Club is an international Erasmus+ project to foster active citizenship and civic responsibility among young people through education and hands-on activities. The project addresses the declining engagement of young citizens in political processes and their decreasing trust in institutions. Its goal is to motivate young people to participate in public life and equip them with the competencies necessary to participate in decision-making at local, national, and European levels. The project established a methodology for conducting civic debate clubs that promote discussion, simulations, and role-playing. Key outputs include a dedicated curriculum, research on young people’s perceptions of governance, open educational and promotional materials, and animated videos. Additionally, the project provided training for youth workers and organised multiplier events across partner countries.
