Ceteris Paribus is an Erasmus+ project designed to introduce young people to the fundamentals of economics in an engaging and meaningful way. By linking economic literacy to active citizenship and civic education, the project empowers participants to better understand the world around them and their role within it. Inflation, opportunity cost, sustainability, and social impact are explored to show how economics affects their daily lives. The project’s core is a unique educational video game developed using Unreal Engine. Set in the intriguing home of Professor Pavlos, Ceteris Paribus is a delightful point-and-click adventure. Players follow Kai, a curious teenager who needs assistance with his economics homework. Each room in the game reveals a glimpse into Professor Pavlos’s life and introduces a new economic concept, combining storytelling, hidden object mechanics, and practical learning. Whether you’re uncovering the mysteries of cryptocurrency or questioning if Pavlos might be a vampire, the game makes learning economics unexpectedly enjoyable.
