Reconnection and Outreach of Adults: Teaching Environmental Discovery (ROOTED) is a cooperation partnership Erasmus+ project designed to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices among adult learners. Recognising the vital role that adults play in shaping societal attitudes towards the environment, the project emphasises experiential learning and community engagement as key drivers of change. Through interactive educational activities, ROOTED encourages adults to reconnect with nature, comprehend the impacts of human activities on ecosystems, and adopt responsible environmental behaviours in their daily lives.
The project specifically targets adult learners, particularly those with fewer opportunities, aiming to empower them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts both locally and globally. Although no outputs have been officially launched yet, ROOTED will provide practical tools and methodologies that can be easily integrated into adult education programmes and community initiatives.
