For almost 30 years, the EU has funded Erasmus programmes, enabling more than 3 million students to travel and study in participating countries. Erasmus+ offers you a wide range of opportunities – studying, doing internship, working or volunteering, and all your expenses will be reimbursed.
Being uninformed deprives us of new experiences, opportunities, and experiences. Thus, we have decided to draw attention to the opportunities the EU offers you to take part in interesting youth exchanges or training courses and was able to develop personally and in career. Erasmus+ aims to promote lifelong learning, integration, and cooperation with other countries.
What opportunities do you have?
If you are over 13 and under 30, you have the opportunity to participate in a youth exchange, which allows you to meet new people and work with them on a project, while taking part in a variety of workshops, educational and fun activities, for up to 3 weeks (1).
Vocational education and training
Organisations such as IUVENTA (Slovak Youth Institute) and SAAIC (Slovak Academic Association for International Cooperation) focus on promoting internships that involve practical teaching and working. You will also have online language support to improve your foreign language skills. The duration of the traineeship ranges from 2 weeks to 12 months (2).
Are you a graduate? Thanks to Erasmus Mundus, you can travel to an EU country and study your chosen Master’s programme, even at two foreign universities at the same time. The length of study is 1 to 2 years, from 60 to 120 ECTS credits.
